UML holding emergency meeting of general convention organizing committee today

To discuss clarifications sought from 32 UML lawmakers



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has called an emergency meeting of the 10th general convention organizing committee of the ruling CPN-UML on Sunday.

The emergency meeting of the general convention organizing committee is taking at Baluwatar at 10 am today, according to a member of the organizing committee.

According to him, the notice about the meeting was relayed to him at 11 pm on Saturday.

The meeting has been called to discuss the clarification sought from 32 federal and provincial lawmakers close to Nepal-Khanal faction, according to him.

The establishment in the meeting may take necessary actions against them based on the analysis of the clarifications given by the lawmakers, he said.

The meeting of the organizing committee had been held only two days ago.

Hence, the emergency meeting has been viewed meaningful since it is taking place two days after the previous meeting.
