PM Oli calls CPN-UML PP meet on Friday



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has called a Parliamentary Party (PP) meeting of ruling CPN-UML.

A meeting of the parliamentary party will be held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar at 3 pm on Friday, said Bishal Bhattarai, chief whip of the party.

Earlier, the Nepal-Khanal group had boycotted the PP meeting held in Baluwatar.

Likewise, the ruling CPN-UML’s Parliamentary Party (PP) meeting held on March 20 at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar had decided to take the statute amendment proposal to the party’s Central Committee(CC) and CC has passed the proposal.

The party had formed a three-member statute amendment task force led by Chief Whip Bishal Bhattarai on March 18.

The CPN-UML has fixed the date of its 10th General Convention and formed an organizing committee for the same.

A meeting of the Central Committee (CC) of the CPN-UML held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar Saturday decided to hold the 10th General Convention from November 18-22 later this year.

Likewise, a decision was made to transform the existing 264-member Central Committee to act as the general convention organizing committee.
