KMC directs tax evaders to present within seven days



KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has directed the taxpayers evading tax to present themselves before its Revenue Department within seven days.

The KMC revenue department issued the directive when it found evasion of municipal taxes in course of the monitoring.

The business firms which were found not registered and defrauding tax were asked to produce themselves in the Department within a week.

According to Department Chief Dr Shivaraj Adhikari, the department has undertaken monitoring of street vendors of New Road, Lazimpat, Panipokhari, and Maharajgunj area on a sampling basis.

Dr Adhikari further shared that a thorough monitoring team would be mobilized from the ward level after completing the sampling-based monitoring. RSS
