Two killed, three injured in road accident



CHITWAN: Two persons died on the spot while three others were seriously injured when a car and truck collided at Dasdhunga on the Narayangadh-Muglin road section of Chitwan Wednesday evening.

The accident took place as the truck heading towards Muglin from Narayangadh collided head-on with a car coming from the opposite direction.

The deceased has been identified as Dharma Raj Gauli,28, of Syamgha municipality-4, Tanahu and Ram Krishan Bhujel,31, of Lekhnath Municipality, Kaski.

They were traveling in the car and died on the spot, DSP at the District Police Office, Chitwan Surya Bahadur Thapa said.

The car driver Padam Sapkota,42, of Madhyanepal municipality and Prasad Thapa,42, of Shyangja and Jasman Pariyar,40 of Tanahu were seriously injured.

The injured are undergoing treatment at the Old medical college hospital in Bharatpur, police said.
