Deuba claims sugarcoated offers coming from both NCP factions

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has claimed that leaders of both the factions of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) have been approaching him with sugar-coated offer.

In a discussion held with confidants at his residence in Budanilakantha Thursday morning, Deuba said both the factions have been trying to woo him through various offers.

The discussion basically focussed on the Supreme Court’s verdict of reinstating the House of Representatives (HoR) and the current political developments.

Chairman of the Prachanda-Nepal faction of the NCP Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” and Madhav Kumar Nepal met Deuba on Wednesday and sought his cooperation.

Deuba had then told the NCP leaders that he would discuss the matter in his party.

The NC party is holding a meeting of the office bearers at 3 pm Thursday at his residence to discuss the party’s future strategy, a NC leader said.
