JSP questions Prachanda, Nepal on authenticity of NCP

KATHMANDU: The Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP), the third largest party in the House of Representatives, has questioned the Prachanda-Nepal faction on the authenticity of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP).

Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Madhav Kumar Nepal factions offered to move forward by cooperating with each other. After the meeting, JSP leader Rajendra Mahato asked, “Which party is yours?” There was a lot of confusion, first we asked you to decide which party is the official one,” he said.

Leader Rajendra Mahato said that they have been deceived by the agreements reached in the past and that they will continue to struggle on the issue of Madhes no matter which government is formed.

“We have been deceived many times in the past. No matter how many agreements have been reached, the constitution was made by deviating from the agreements made by the Congress, UML and Maoists.

JSP Chairman Mahanta Thakur, Leader Mahato and Rajendra Shrestha had reached Perisdanda for discussions with Prachanda, Nepal. As soon as the House of Representatives is reinstated, the Prachanda-Nepal faction has intensified discussions with the parties.
