Adjustment of Covid-19 fatalities puts death toll at 2,684

KATHMANDU: Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has adjusted the statistics of the Covid-19 fatalities as per the record maintained by the Covid-19 Crisis Management Center (CCMC).

Spokesperson Dr Jageshwor Gautam shared that 618 new fatalities were added to the existing death toll from the Coronavirus infection.

With the adjustment, the Covid-19 fatalities caseload has reached 2,684.

As of Tuesday, 2,064 persons had succumbed to flu-like infection.

Dr Gautam shared that 618 new fatalities were added by analyzing the statistics.

CCMC had managed the dead bodies of the Covid-19 infected persons by visiting their houses.

A committee was formed to find out the actual number of fatalities after the fatalities number recorded by MoHP and CCMC had differed.

So far 273,760 people were recorded to have contracted the Covid-19. Among them, 270,139 have got full recovery. RSS
