Chandrapur register first win with hat trick by Sabita

KATHMANDU: Sabita Rana Magar scored a hat trick as Chandrapur registered their first win of the ongoing National Women’s League with a 7-1 victory over Chaudandigadhi Municipality on Monday.

Chaudandigadhi scored the first goal through Anjana Thulung but Chaudandigadhi came back strong with Dil Kumari Rana Magar scoring two and Rajani Thokar and Sunita Bholan also getting into the scoresheet with a goal each.

Chandrapur coach Noorraj Kafle said it was needed for the team to come back strong following the opening 6-0 loss against Armed Police Force.

“We conceded early due to defensive lapses but the second-half performance ensured we walk away with three points,” said Kafle.

Chaudandigadhi coach Dipak Thapa failed to implement their strategy which resulted in the loss.

“We played defensive in our loss against Nepal Police Club and had planned for an attacking one in today’s match.
But lack of coordination between players resulted in a heavy loss,” said Thapa.

Nepal Police Club will play against Waling Municipality in the first match on Tuesday while Armed Police Force will lock horns against departmental opponent Tribhuvan Army Football Club in the second match.
