Man arrested from TIA with 345 grams gold concealed inside diaper



KATHMANDU: A man has been arrested from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) with 345 grams of gold concealed inside a diaper.

Subash Gurung of Chitwan Bharatpur Sub-Metropolis-13, who was carrying a passport with number 07230853, was arrested on Monday morning.

Gurung, who came to Kathmandu from Doha, Qatar on a flight of Qatar Airways along with the gold hidden in diapers.

Police also arrested Tak Bahadur Gurung, 31, of Tanahun who had reached the airport to collect the gold.

The seized gold was handed over to the TIA Customs Office, according to the TIA Security Office.
