JC appoints three judges including registrar of Supreme Court



KATHMANDU: The Judicial Council (JC) has appointed three judges. A meeting of the JC convened on Sunday appointed three judges including chief registrar of the Supreme Court Nripadhwaj Niraula. The other two appointed judges are incumbent judges.

“Nripadhwaj Niraula, Prakash Chandra Gajurel and Nita Gautam have been appointed,” JC member Ram Bahadur Shrestha said, adding, “Two of them were working as acting judges in high courts.”

Gajurel and Gautam were working as acting chief judges at Janakpur High Court and Dang High Court, respectively.

They were promoted as chief judges in high courts where they were working.
