EC proposes to hold local levels election on April 27

KATHMANDU: The Election Commission (EC) has recommended the government to hold election at local levels on April 27, 2022.

EC officials had held a discussion with Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and other ministers on Friday.

The EC, at the meeting, proposed holding election at all local levels at the same time on April 27, 2022.

Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Thapaliya said that if for some reason it was not possible to hold the election on the same day, then election could be held on two days i.e. April 14 and May 5, 2022.
