CBS to publish national census report of local-level for first time



KATHMANDU: The Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) has made preparation to publish the report of national census of local-level for the first time.

Only district-level reports of census used to be published till 2068 BS. Director of the Bureau, Dhundiraj Lamichhane, told RSS that the local-level statistics report was going to be published for the first time since the State adopted state restructuring system.

All the 77 districts have already sent the forms of counting of population of 2078 to the centre.

The Bureau has made preparations to enter the details in computer till mid-January, 2022.

Activities would be forwarded to conclude the task of entering the details within six months.

Lamicchane shared that the report would be made public in the beginning of coming fiscal year.

The CBS has made a preparation to release separate census report of centre, provinces, districts and local levels this year. Nepal conducted national census for the first time in 1968.
