Kishunji remembered offering tributes

KATHMANDU:  A candlelight vigil was organized on Thursday evening in the Capital City in memory of late former president of Nepali Congress (NC) and former prime minister Krishna Prasad Bhattarai (Kishunji).

Kishunji Study Centre organized the candlelight vigil and offered tribute to the statue of Kishunji on 98th birth anniversary of the saint leader.

Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand and other leaders were present at the event held at Kishunji Park in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-10.
On the occasion, Minister Khand said that the saint leader was always firm for the cause of nationality. “The NC should advance ahead in the path of integrity, ideals and nationality shown by Kishunji,” Khand added.

Centre’s chairman Abinash Silwal said that it would be true tribute to late Kishunji only if NC moved ahead in the path shown by the saint leader.

Established in 2073 BS, the center is carrying out different research works about Kishunji.
