ACC U-19 Asia Cup: Nepal taking on Bangladesh today

KATHMANDU: Nepal is taking on Bangladesh in the first match of the ACC U-19 Asia Cup today.

The game will start in Sharjah, UAE from 11:15 am. The match between Nepal and Bangladesh scheduled for yesterday was postponed for today.

Nepal is in Group B. Along with Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Kuwait are in this group. Nepal will play a match with Sri Lanka on Sunday and with Kuwait on Tuesday.

Earlier, Nepal had reached the semi-finals of the competition held in Malaysia in 2017. Group A has host UAE, India, Pakistan and Afghanistan. India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka have made a winning start in yesterday’s match.

India beat UAE by 145 runs, Sri Lanka defeated Kuwait by 274 runs and Pakistan by 4 wickets. Similarly, Pakistan beat Afghanistan by four wickets.

With the victory, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka have two points each in the points table.

The top two teams from both groups will advance to the semi-finals.
