Bagmati Chief Minister dismisses his animated video statement

BAGMATI: Chief Minister of Bagmati Province Rajendra Pandey has said that attempts were made to create illusion by releasing an edited video through animation about his speech.

Speaking at the Province Assembly on Thursday, the Chief Minister said he did not make any statement anywhere refusing to allocate budget where his party’s committee was not formed.

Chief Minister Pandey, who is also the CPN (Unified Socialist) leader, urged the UML leaders to listen to his statement even from the social networking sites.

During the Province Assembly meeting on Wednesday, the leader of major opposition CPN (UML)’s leader Dormani Poudel had drawn attention on different issues while seeking the Chief Minister’s response.

While speaking in today’s meeting, UML lawmaker Keshav Raj Pandey asked that the Chief Minister Pandey should address UML’s concerns prior to the Province Assembly proceedings.

After Pandey’s statement, Speaker Sanu Kumar Shrestha postponed the Province Assembly meeting for an indefinite period. Later, the meeting was summoned after four hours.

However, UML’s lawmakers did not turn up at the meeting stating that its lawmakers left for other places from Province Capital Hetauda after the notice of Province Assembly postponement was released.
