BUTWAL: Keshav Shrestha has been elected as the district president of Arghakhanchi district under the 14th general convention of the Nepali Congress.
Shrestha, who is close to senior NC leader Ram Chandra Poudel, won the election with 731 votes.
His rivals Indra Mani Poudel got 352 votes and Yadav Ghimire got 309 votes.
Party President Sher Bahadur Deuba’s camp had nominated Yadav Ghimire for the post.
