Nepal records 557 new COVID-19 cases, 3 deaths in last 24 hours

Kathmandu valley witnesses 209 fresh coronavirus cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 557 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 522 persons tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 35 tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 159 persons in Kathmandu, 41 in Lalitpur, and 9 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for COVID-19, making the Kathmandu valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 209 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, 3 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 877 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
