NAC starts test flights to Doti, Bajhang



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has launched its services to the hilly districts in Far Western Nepal.

The national flag carrier has extended the services to the hilly destinations of the Far West bearing in mind the inconvenience to the people caused by current the obstruction of roadways because of the rains there.

Dhangadhi Airport in Kailali serves as the base point for the services and from today test flights have been launched for Bajhang and Doti districts, according to Airport Chief Ram Krishna Bhatta.

The charge for the Dhangadhi-Doti route is Rs 2,615 per person and the Doti-Dhangadhi is Rs 5,515. Likewise, Rs 3,995 has been fixed as the airfare for the Dhangadhi-Bajhang route and Rs 3,895 for the Bajhang-Dhangadhi route, according to Bhatta.

Locals have demanded the regular operation of the NAC flights for the convenience of the people of these districts.
