BIRATNAGAR: The Nepali Congress (NC) and the CPN-UML have demanded the postponement of today’s Province 1 assembly meeting.

The Nepali Congress had earlier demanded to postpone the meeting after receiving information that its lawmakers would cross the floor.

Meanwhile, the UML has also submitted a letter to postpone the session after receiving the request from Nepali Congress.

UML has demanded to hold a meeting after November 1 due to which the state assembly meeting has become uncertain.

It should be noted that the Chief Minister of Province 1 Bhim Acharya was supposed to test the floor today.
