Ward Chair Adhikari succumbs to coronavirus

KATHMANDU: Ward Chair of Tarkeshwor Rural Municipality-4 of Nuwakot Ram Mani Adhikari has passed away.

The 77-year-old was undergoing treatment after being infected with Corona Virus at Manmohan Hospital in Kathmandu.

Chair Adhikari passed away this morning, said the Rural Municipality Chair Ramesh Bahadur Wasti.

He was admitted to the hospital after his condition deteriorated following the infection in late June.

Although he had recovered from the Virus, he remained in the hospital for treatment of ailments related to his lung and liver.

Adhikari had been elected as the ward chairperson from the CPN (UML) and had twice been elected as the VDC chairperson from the same party.
