Next election will be Prachanda vs Badal: Defecting Maoist leader Badal

CHITWAN: Defecting CPN-Maoist Center leader Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’ has said that there would be a tough competition between him and Maoist Center Chairman Puspa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’in the upcoming election.

Speaking at a press conference organized by Press Chautari Nepal Chitwan branch at Bharatpur Airport on Friday, incumbent Standing Committee member of CPN-UML Badal said that if the party decides, there could be competition between him and Prachanda.

He also claimed that a large number of leaders and cadres have now left Prachanda.

Badal also accused the incumbent government of protecting black money rather than protecting the national economy.

He accused the current government of being against democracy, nationalism, prosperity and socialism. Giving his response on MCC, Badal said that it should be moved forward after modification.

Badal who used to be known as Chairman Prachanda’s right hand, has now joined UML and severed ties with Prachanda.
