NC decides to hold municipal conventions in 64 districts from Saturday



KATHMANDU: Ruling Nepali Congress (NC) has decided to hold municipal conventions in 64 districts from September 25.

According to NC spokesperson, Bishwo Prakash Sharma, NC office-bearers’ Friday meeting held at Singha Durbar on Friday decided to conduct the municipal conventions in 64 districts on Saturday.

Sharma informed that the party will conduct district conventions in other 21 Himalayan districts before Dashain.

He revealed that Senior Leader Ram Chandra Poudel had proposed to hold the municipal convention of all the districts at the same time. However, the meeting decided to hold conventions in 64 districts on Saturday.

NC is planning to resolve the active membership dispute of the party on Friday.
