UML leader Bhattarai calls for dismissing revived youth organizations

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML leader Yogesh Bhattarai has demanded dismantling the Youth Force and branches of Akhil Force, a sister wing of All Nepal National Free Students’ Union (ANNFSU), raising objection to their formation.

The two youth organizations were revived following dispute in the party between UML Chair KP Sharma Oli and senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal. The Youth Force aligns with Oli faction whereas ANNFSU branched out supporting Nepal faction.

Leader Bhattarai in a Facebook post Saturday sought justification for existence of these organizations. “What is the rationale behind reviving these organizations when there ANNFSU and National Youth Federation is already there?” he questioned.

Bhattarai is of the view that formation of different organizations within the party sent a message of fear and it tended to promote criminality among the youths.

He urged UML Chair Oli and senior leader Nepal to collapse these outfits.
