NEPSE goes green Monday as well, transaction amount soars



KATHMANDU: Despite the coronavirus pandemic and political turmoil in teh country, NEPSE has continued its streak of green on Monday as well. NEPSE also broke its Sunday record of reaching 2,820 points on Monday.

According to sources, the NEPSE has set a new record in terms of transaction amount as well.

According to Nepal Stock Exchange sources, the NEPSE has risen by 3.07 points to reach 2,823.06 today.

Similarly, the sensitive index, which measures the trading volume of large companies, rose by 1.31 points to 508.49.

A total of 271,40,202 shares of 216 companies have been bought and sold at a price of Rs 13.17 billion.

Of the total 13 subgroups traded, only five subgroups gained and eight subgroups faced resistance. Banking rose 4.08 points, hydropower 5.2 points, non-life insurance 196.64 points, collective investment funds 0.09 points and investment 1.41 points.

Similarly, trade groups declined by 57.6 points, hotels and tourism by 17 points, development banks by 32.9 points, finance by 36.42 points, manufacturing by 47.82 points, others by 9.31 points, microfinance by 5.37 points and life insurance by 55.61 points.
