Chand-led Communist Party demands withdrawal of citizenship ordinance



KATHMANDU: Netra Bikram Chand-led Nepal Communist Party has demanded immediate withdrawal of the ordinance on citizenship issued by the government.

Issuing a statement Monday, party General Secretary Chand alias Biplov said the whole country was to pay the price of ordinance brought to ensure hold on power amid political crisis in the country.

Warning the government not to carrying out activities against national interest, he urged the government to scrap the ordinance pronto.
