Lawmakers showing up in person at SC to deal a blow to Baluwatar: UML leader Khatiwada

KATHMANDU: UML lawmaker Birodh Khaiwada said a majority of lawmakers are showing up in person at the Supreme Court to deal a blow to Baluwatar.

Talking to journalists on the premises of the SC, Khatiwada, a lawmaker from the Nepal-Khanal faction of the ruling CPN-UML, said only two lawmakers are enough while filing the case but almost all the lawmakers of the opposition parties are turning up at the SC to pile pressure on Prime Minister Oli.

“Some lawmakers are outside the Kathmandu Valley. The SC seeks original signatures. Even if the number of 149 slightly goes down, it does not make any differences, 136 lawmakers will be sufficient for the majority to topple the Oli-led government,” said Khatiwada.
