COVID-19: India records new 222,835 cases, 4,455 deaths

NEW DELHI: India recorded 222,835 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the caseload to 26,751,681.

Currently, 2,727,011 are undergoing treatment at various isolation centers and hospitals. Meanwhile, 23,720,919 have returned home after treatment.

Similarly, the number of deaths from the coronavirus in India has crossed the 303,700-mark.

With 4,455 deaths in a single day, the number of deaths from the virus has reached 303,751, according to the latest figures collated by the Worldometers.

Broken out in Wuhan City of China in December 2019, the coronavirus has killed 3,477,711 and infected 167,503,623 globally until the filing of this news.
