KATHMANDU: Former President Dr Rambaran Yadav has stressed the need for collaboration among the political parties for the prosperity and sustainable development of the country.
In his address to a ceremony organized to mark the 60th establishment years of Bhagawati Secondary School at Manebhanjyang rural municipality-5 of Okhaldhunga, ex-President Dr Yadav said prosperity would not be possible without collaboration among the political parties.
The federal system has become weak in lack of collaboration among the political parties in recent years, he said.
However, the country was moving ahead smoothly on the path of federalism following the promulgation of the constitution through the Constituent Assembly, he claimed.
He further said that the political parties have nurtured the tendency of focusing on state power rather than the country’s development while noting it would leave frustration among the people.
The former President also expressed worry for the country sliding into a crisis due to political infighting. RSS
