Prachanda-Nepal faction stresses on political consensus to ensure stability

KATHMANDU: A Standing Committee meeting of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP ) Prachanda-Nepal faction has decided to forge a consensus with the main opposition party Nepal Congress (NC) and other parties to ensure political stability in the country.

The meeting held at the party office in Peris Danda Wednesday afternoon also decided to cancel all protest programs against the government.

Now that the House of Representatives has been reinstated, party Chairmen Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” and Madhav Kumar Nepal have discussed the political developments with NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba,” Spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha told reports after the meeting.

“Voices have been raised for party unity to ensure political stability,” Spokesperson Shrestha said.

Likewise, the faction has also decided to convene a meeting of the parliamentary party at Singha Durbar on Wednesday evening.
