Mahesh Basnet claims Oli will lead NC-NCP government

KATHMANDU: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Oli faction leader Mahesh Basnet claimed that Prime Minister KP Oli will lead the next government with the support from the main opposition party Nepali Congress (NC).

Addressing the meeting of National Youth Federation in Kathmandu on Wednesday, leader Basnet said that the politics would still revolve around PM Oli in the days ahead.

“KP Oli has not resigned from the post yet, so,– due to the inefficiency of other leaders — KP Oli has to lead the country again.”

NCP Oli faction’s leader Basnet said, “Once again the politics of the country will revolve around incumbent PM Oli.”

Stating that the next government cannot be formed without the cooperation and collaboration of NC, he claimed that the NC leaders loyal to democracy would help Oli lead the government.

He clarified that once the attempts to form an alternative government bear no fruits, the nation has to face election soon.
