PM Oli issues circular to cadres directing them to gear up for polls

KATHMANDU: Chairman of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Oli faction and Prime Minister KP Oli has issued a circular to cadres across the country directing them to gear up for polls.

A special circular sent last Thursday has directed cadres to participate in the voter list correction program. As per the election schedule by the Election Commission, a voter list will be published on Thursday.

The Election Commission has set January 29-31 as dates for correcting the voter list.

“During this period, it is necessary to inform the voters in their respective constituencies, to correct any errors in the voter list, to remove false names added by giving false details and to increase public awareness and participation in the election process,” it has been mentioned in the circular.

It has also directed to send suggestions to the Central Committee by mid-March on the issues to be included in the manifesto to be issued by the party for the upcoming election to the House of Representatives.
