Two drivers arrested in Kathmandu for offering bribe to traffic police



KATHMANDU: Two drivers have been arrested in Kathmandu for trying to bribe traffic police.

Ram Hari Thapa, 28, of Dhading, a driver of a tipper, Ba 4 Kha 7325, had tried to bribe a traffic policeman on duty at Kalanki at around 9:15 pm on Saturday.

According to the Metropolitan Traffic Police, Thapa tried to bribe the policeman with Rs 500 when he asked for documents.

Similarly, a driver of a tipper, Ko 1 Kha 5004, was arrested at Kalanki-Khasibazar road section at 9: 30 pm last night.

The driver Kul Bahadur Ghalan of Makwanpur also tried to bribe the on-duty traffic police with Rs 200.
