Ruling coalition will not break because of MCC: Prachanda

Says Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba will not put undue pressure on him to endorse MCC



KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” has said that he expects Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba will not put undue pressure on him to ratify the US aid project Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).

In an interview with News Agency Nepal, Prachanda said that the alliance will not be broken merely because of MCC.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Deuba has been insisting that the MCC should be ratified.

Maoist Chairman Prachanda reiterated the need to move ahead only by making amendments in the agreement.

Prachanda further said that he spoke to Prime Minister Deuba on the issue on Wednesday.
