Nepal Army in peace mission to get direct dollar exchange facility

KATHMANDU:  Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has amended the Unified Directive 2019 and made more conducive provision for the exchange facility to transfer money allocated annually to various peace missions in the case of Nepal Army.

After the Tuesday’s amendment, Nepal Army will be able to get foreign exchange facility directly from commercial banks and national level development banks and finance companies now onwards.

Such collateral facility will be provided to the peace missions on the basis of the documents confirming that the amount allocated annually has to be transferred through banking system.

NRB has made an arrangement to provide such exchange facility in cash for the countries deployed in the peace mission even if the bank account is not available there till now.
