Three minors die as cowshed catches fire in Helambu



SINDHUPALCHOWK: Three minors died in a fire that gutted a cowshed in Helambhu in Sindhupalchowk district on Monday evening.

The deceased have been identified as six-year-old Manoj, the son of Santa Tamang, five-year-old Manish, the son of Sukman Tamang and Saila Tamang’s son Dil Bahadur, 5, according to DSP Daksha Kumar Basnet of Sindhupalchowk.

The fire had broken out at 7 pm in the cowshed yesterday.

“The cowshed which was filled with straw and corn husk had caught fire when there were guardians at home,” said DSP.

The fire had spread from the fire lit to cook fodder for the cattle. Police said they are investigating the case.
