Political unity to save democracy: Senior leader Poudel



KATHMANDU: Senior leader of Nepali Congress (NC) Ramchandra Poudel has said political unity is imperative to save democracy and avoid crisis in country.

Addressing a cadres’ meeting organized by the party at Belauri, Kanchanpur on Saturday, leader Poudel expressed sympathy to the flood and landslide survivors. He drew the government’s attention to launch relief package to the disaster survivors.

He conducted the onsite inspection of the areas hit hard by the flood and inundation in the district.

On a different note, he said there was no option but to hold party general convention in the slated date. Unity within the party is essential to avoid crisis in the party. The senior leader also had an onsite inspection of the damages in Mahakali riverine area of Belauri.
