Cooperation between Nepal, Malta stressed to promote tourism



KATHMANDU: Member of the International Relations Committee (IRC) under the House of Representatives, Dibya Mani Rajbhandari has stated that there have been many potentialities of cooperation in tourism promotion between Nepal and European country, Malta and in this regard, necessary efforts are needed.

Nepal could learn more from Malta to flourish tourism of the country, he said at a welcome ceremony organized Saturday in Kathmandu by the honourary consul of Malta, Dinesh Shrestha, who is also Vice President of FNCCI, in honor of Non-resident Ambassador of Malta to Nepal Reuben Gauci.

On the occasion, Ambassador Gauci said that he is active in further strengthening relations between Malta and Nepal. Stating that more than 2,200 Nepali people have engaged in jobs in Malta, he said that employment opportunities could be provided to additional Nepali people in the days to come.

“It can help both the countries to cooperate in the area of mutual benefits once the countries reach the labor agreements,” he said.
