Advocates of 10-point deal faring badly in UML: Unified Socialist Chair Nepal

KATHMANDU: Chairman of the CPN-Unified Socialist Madhav Kumar Nepal has said leaders staying in the UML prioritizing the 10-point unity deal were faring badly in the mother party.

Speaking at a program in Sindhupalchowk Saturday, Chair Nepal said that UML Chairperson KP Oli had started to look down on leaders raising the issues of the 10-point deal. “The leaders advocating the implementation of 10-point deal are being treated badly for raising the issue time and again.”

Last Wednesday, UML Chairperson Oli remarked that he signed the 10-point deal only in hopes that leader Nepal would not split the party, and at present emphasizing the agreement was meaningless.

UML Vice-Chairman Bhim Rawal resigned from the 10-point deal implementation task force Friday after the UML concluded its Standing Committee meeting, saying that UML Chair Oli had no intention to implement the 10-point agreement.
