Six tourists, including four German nationals, rescued from Yakkharka in Dolpa



KATHMANDU: Six tourists, including four German nationals, have been rescued from Yakkharka in Dolpa district.

According to sources, four German nationals and two Nepali guides who were out in the routes lying between Dunai of Dolpa to Muktinath of Mustang on October 3 have been rescued of late.

After receiving the information that tourists were stranded, Mustang police rescued them from Yakkharka of Dolpa district.

Inspector Pratap Poudel of Jomsom District Police Office informed that the tourists and guides, including Jangbu Sherpa and Dawa Sherpa of Solukhumbu, who were not in touch since October 21, were rescued by a helicopter this morning on the basis of information that they were in Yakkharka.

Jomsom Hospital informed that though the snow has caused some problems in the fingers, the tourists are safe.
