UML’s ward, rural municipal conventions deferred in Surkhet

KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML’s ward- and rural municipal-level conventions in Surkhet have been deferred.

UML district committee Surkhet postponed the conventions for three days citing technical reasons.

The UML is holding ward conventions across the country Saturday.

However, UML Surkhet Chairman Dhruba Kumar Shahi said the ward convention in Surkhet would be held only on October 26 and the rural municipal convention on October 29.

Earlier, the party had fixed October 23 for the ward convention and October 26 for the rural municipal convention.

UML Surkhet called a district committee meeting today for further prepare for the convention. The district committee meeting will appoint representatives to coordinate and facilitate the conventions.
