Govt will bring special relief package: Minister Badu

MAHENDRANAGAR: Minister for Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs, Dilendra Prasad Badu, has said that the country faced a huge loss of lives and properties due to landslides, floods, and inundation following unseasonal rainfall.

At a program organized by Nepali Congress, Kanchanpur, this morning, Minister Badu shared that the Prime Minister has paid special concern for relief and reconstruction.

‘Farmers are the ones who need immediate relief rather than reconstruction”, he opined, saying a special relief package would be brought immediately.

Minister Badu further said, “The government would involve in relief and rehabilitation tasks in a planned manner. We will heal the pain of the people even after collecting foreign aid.”

On a different note, he argued that the Nepali Congress has got the responsibility to run the country, adding that the NC has led the government for the success of the country and protection of the constitution.

Similarly, Nepali Congress central committee member and former minister Ramesh Lekhak said that Sudurpaschim Province was mostly hit hard due to floods and landslides.

He said, “We along with a team of the Prime Minister made an on-site visit of floods and landslides hit-areas and there is a very painful condition. The government should immediately arrange relief.”
