Ruling coalition incapable of competing with UML: Chair Oli

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli has remarked that the ruling coalition does not have capacity to compete with the UML.

Addressing a program organized by the party’s Special Committee in Kathmandu Thursday, the UML chair remarked that those who could not expand the Council of Ministers were boasting of competing with his party. He said, “They could not form a cabinet but aspire to vie with UML. Such as it is, they want to be competitors to a strong party like UML.”

It has been 74 days since Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba became the prime minister on Thursday but the cabinet has yet to get full shape. Oli poked the ruling parties on this issue.

Stating that the ruling coalition lacked unity, he challenged the coalition to unite to compete with the UML. Oli also mocked the CPN-Unified Socialist, which split from the UML, for picking seven vice-chairmen.
