NEA to remove wires from pole if arrears not cleared by Oct 1

Internet, cable TV, telephone service providers yet to clear bills

KATHMANDU: Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has directed the internet, cable TV and telephone service providers to pay the arrears by signing a pole rental agreement.

Issuing an information for the third time on Thursday, the NEA has warned to remove the wires and equipment hung by the service providers on its poles without any agreement after October 1.

The NEA had also issued a notice on September 14 saying that the service providers were using their electronic structure without any agreement and warned to remove the wires and equipment of the service providers who did not sign the agreement by October 1.
