Ruling coalition meeting on cabinet expansion today

KATHMANDU: Ruling coalition parties have called a meeting in a bid to strike an agreement on the cabinet expansion today.

The government led by Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has not got a full shape even after 70 days after its formation.
The cabinet expansion has been hit due to the bickering over the sharing of ministerial portfolios among ruling coalition parties.

The ruling coalition parties have intensified meetings to strike a deal on the power-sharing deal but in vain, drawing flaks from all quarters.

A meeting held at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar on Wednesday evening ended without transient outcome.

Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda, NCP (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal, Janata Samajwadi Party Chairman Upendra Yadav and NSP Federal Council Chairman Dr Baburam Bhattarai and Rastriya Janamorcha leader Durga Paudel were present in yesterday’s meeting.
