KATHMANDU: As part of his political meetings, CPN (Maoist) General Secretary Netra Bikram Chand Biplav met with Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairman Kamal Thapa, Friday.

Biplav has intensified political meetings lately, especially after the exit of the then Prime Minister KP Oli.

Biplav, along with party spokesperson Khadga Bahadur Bishwakarma “Prakanda” reached Thapa’s residence in Bishal Nagar and held talks on the current political situation and the future course of action.

During the meeting, he praised the RPP leadership for the ideological support provided during Biplav’s underground period.

He also emphasized the need for all parties to fight for nationalism and sovereignty as the country was in a difficult situation and foreign intervention was intensifying of late.

Biplab expressed concern that the three-point agreement reached with the then Prime Minister KP Oli has not yet been implemented.

Stating that more than 125 of his cadres were still in jail, he said that the current government should implement the agreement as the agreement was with the state and not with individuals.

Thapa, meanwhile, assured Biplav of supporting the issues raised by the Biplav-led party.
