UML leader Bhim Rawal withdraws resignation

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML leader Bhim Rawal, who had tendered his resignation as a lawmaker of the Federal Parliament, has withdrawn his resignation from the House of Representatives Friday.

Rawal met Speaker Agni Sapkota at the Parliament Secretariat in Singha Durbar on Friday and withdrew his resignation.

Rawal said he withdrew his resignation at the request of voters, the general public, and party members in his constituency.

He had announced his resignation on the day Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba was given a vote of confidence in the Parliament last week.

Rawal, who was elected from Achham Constituency No. 1, said that the top leaders of the political parties had increased their arbitrariness and resigned considering it better to keep away from hateful political games.
