Heavy rains likely in Pradesh 1, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini

KATHMANDU: With the monsoon getting active across the country, heavy rain is likely to occur in four provinces in the country today.

According to Meteorological Forecasting Division (FMD), the weather is partly to generally cloudy across the country with chances  of light to moderate rains in many places of  Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and in a few places of Pradesh 1, Pradesh 2, Bagmati and Sudurpaschim Pradesh.

Similarly, heavy rains amidst thunderstorms are forecast in one or two places of Pradesh 1, Bagmati Pradesh, Gandaki Pradesh, Lumbini Pradesh, according to a weather bulletin issued by the MFD.

Likewise, the heavy rains are likely to occur in various places of the country on Thursday and Friday.

Meanwhile, the MFD has urged the people to take precautions from the possible risks of floods and landslides.
