Devkota reveals he was intimidated to back out from NA by-election



KATHMANDU: National Assembly (NA) member from Bagmati Province Khim Lal Devkota has revealed enticements and threats were offered to make him back out from the by-election held on May 20.

Devkota, backed by opposition alliance, beat UML candidate Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’ in the election.

Taking to social media on Sunday, Devkota wrote he has also recorded sound clips of some threats and would reveal names as required in the future.

He also wrote he did not get intimidated and won the election. He urged youth leaders as well as veteran politicians to stay true to their words and deeds in their political journey.
