UML leader Bhusal unaware of new party, opposes HoR dissolution

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML leader Ghanshyam Bhusal has said he is unaware of the new political party registered with the Election Commission (EC) and opposes the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR).

A youth leader Jiwan Rai, who is close to Madhav Kumar Nepal faction of UML, registered a new communist party CPN (Unified) on Sunday.

Leader Bhusal said he was opposed to President Vidyadevi Bhandari dissolving the House of Representatives on Saturday night on the government’s recommendation. “I am fighting against the President’s move,” he said.

Nepali Congress (NC), CPN (Maoist Center), Upendra Yadav-Babu Ram Bhattarai faction of JSP and Nepal faction of UML have decided to knock the door of the Supreme Court against the House dissolution move and signature collection of 149 lawmaker for the same was underway at Singha Durbar Sunday afternoon.
