Trishuli hospital gets oxygen cylinders in assistance

NUWAKOT: An oxygen industry has assisted 1,200 cylinders of oxygen to the Nuwakot-based Trishuli Hospital when the entire country is grappling with the short supply of oxygen amidst the surging cases of Covid-19.

The ‘Hamro Oxygen Industry’ has aided the given amount of life-saving gas to the hospital. Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nuwakot president Gopi Prasad Kandel and entrepreneur Dinesh Dhakal have started supplying the assistance to the hospital after consultation with the Bagmati Province Minister for Internal Affairs and Law Keshab Raj Pandey.

Minister Pandey thanked the industry for its humanitarian support during the pandemic. The Nuwakot-based industry is perhaps the largest oxygen industry in the country as its daily production is 700 to 750 cylinders. Kandel, the recipient of the ‘Commercially Important Person’ award is the founding chair of the industry.

As he said, the aid is for preventing fatality in the lack of life-saving gas. According to him, the industry will supply 10 cylinders each day to the hospital.
